Before and after the intra-app upgrade, I find my X2 robots are running firmware version 1.81.13.<\/p>\n<p>Matter support in HomeKit is gained within your Ecovacs app:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nLaunch the Ecovacs app and tap the bracketed minus sign in the upper right corner of your app&#8217;s display (do not tap &#8220;Enter&#8221; for a robot, if you go that far the bracketed minus sign goes away).<\/li>\n<li>Next, scan this QR code:\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/x2-omni-matter-support-v0-i1t4i7pq58if1.jpeg.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/x2-omni-matter-support-v0-i1t4i7pq58if1.jpeg-300x296.webp\" alt=\"Ecovacs QR code for intra app Matter upgrade\" width=\"300\" height=\"296\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/x2-omni-matter-support-v0-i1t4i7pq58if1.jpeg-300x296.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/x2-omni-matter-support-v0-i1t4i7pq58if1.jpeg-304x300.webp 304w, https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/x2-omni-matter-support-v0-i1t4i7pq58if1.jpeg.webp 338w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>(Scanning this QR code immediately starts the app update).<\/li>\n<li>After the upgrade, tap &#8220;Enter&#8221; for one of your robots.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the hex shape with a circle inside, this icon is in the upper right corner of the app.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the option &#8220;Matter Ecosystem&#8221;, between &#8220;Live View Settings&#8221; and &#8220;Help&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>When a Matter code appears on the app screen with two buttons &#8220;Copy the pairing code&#8221; and &#8220;Add to AppleHome&#8221;, select &#8220;Add to AppleHome&#8221;.<\/li>\n<p>I did these steps and added a robot to my Matter ecosystem. Within the Apple HomeKit app, a tile for the robot appears. When I tap the tile, HomeKit says: &#8220;This accessory is not currently supported by the Home app.&#8221; This is because my iPhone still has iOS 18.0.1 on it, getting up to 18.4 or higher should drop this error message.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ecovacs rolled out an intra-app upgrade (thank you, Ecovacs!) for X2 Omni owners that helps us tap into the robot vacuum&#8217;s existing Matter support (v1.2).
