I found used iGo adapters readily available and cheap on eBay &#8211; it seems most people believe these adapters aren&#8217;t compatible or worth using with modern devices and computers. I picked up a couple on eBay and figured I&#8217;d rig them to work with my MacBooks, iPhones, and iPads.<\/p>\n<p>A Juice 70 or an iGo auto\/air85 worked with a MacBook Pro by connecting\u00a0the <del>A3 adapter<\/del> <del>(19 volts)<\/del> A4 adapter (16.6 volts) to\u00a0a couple additional\u00a0items:<\/p>\n<p>1. An adapter I found on eBay, a DC 5.5mm to 5.5 mm power plug coupler\/extender\/adapter (Female to Female):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/191164201422\">http:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/191164201422<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/191164201422\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-365\" src=\"https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/s-l300-300x213.jpg\" alt=\"s-l300\" width=\"300\" height=\"213\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2. A MagSafe to 5.5 mm DC adapter cable from Amazon (MagSafe2 is shown in photo below):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00JQ5F0ZU\">http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00JQ5F0ZU<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-366\" src=\"https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/51TxlEAPEVL._SL1000_-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"51TxlEAPEVL._SL1000_\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/51TxlEAPEVL._SL1000_-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/51TxlEAPEVL._SL1000_-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/51TxlEAPEVL._SL1000_-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.schwie.com\/brad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/51TxlEAPEVL._SL1000_.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I plugged the iGo&#8217;s and\u00a0cables into\u00a0two vehicles and they all seem to work fine.<\/p>\n<p>I was also able to get an iPad 2 charging with the legacy iPod adapter (iGo A61 adapter) connected to the iGo dual power accessory, but I think it was\u00a0limited to 500 ma for charging.<\/p>\n<p>I also tried to attach an\u00a0iPhone 6s and iPad 4 to the iGo dualpower accessory using an iGo A46 adapter and\u00a0a\u00a0Lightning USB cable, but neither\u00a0would charge.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m curious what else I can power up with these iGo power adapters. iGo only said what devices their tips could power up, but the voltages were never attached. If anyone has a complete list of voltages for all the tips, I&#8217;d love to see it.
