We have clearance, Clarence.

Woohoo! I saw Doctor Chris Meyer today and he was satisfied with my strength to give me clearance to begin attending soccer practices again! Even better, he said I could return to game-action on May 21st. To celebrate, I biked from Eden Prairie to Minneapolis for the Vandal’s first practice of the year. We scrimmaged and I had a hat trick. Sweet. But, I must preface, there was a bounty placed on anyone’s head who took me out. Maybe I took advantage of my handicap 🙂 OK. Next up is the Iron Man this weekend. My Dad has tuned up Benji’s italian racing bike, so hitting 102+ miles should be no problem! Bianchi. Campione D’Italia.

  1. So, did you end up doing the 100 mile route of the iron man this morning? Not a bad day for cycling in April, eh?

    -Jordan.

  2. Yeah, we hammered out the 100 mile route. Luckily we snagged on to a group for the final 17 miles and that helped break the wind.

I see you did the 30 miler. Nice work. We were hoping for pizza at the end, but the cookies and gatorade were nice.

Next year, give the 60 or 100 miler a shot. I trained by biking to work each day for a month. St. Paul to Minnetonka. Nice.
